Game chat time.

Due to an incredibly determined core team of raiders, we have managed to solidier through most of the obstacles that seem to be in our way. The revolving door of new people is rather frustrating, but something we've become quite accustomed too. Just one week I'd like to not have to have Chill or I explain Sindragosa. Just one time. Wouldn't that be nice? Yet, we soldier on. The same group of key, core people show up every single week. And while it sucks when we lose one of them to yet another one of the umpteen fucking excuses we hear. Somehow we seem to pick up that slack and fill in the gaps. But if I could just get the extra 8~10 new people to get on the same page, life would be much more grand.

Yet we go out, done our new armor, and kick some ass. While this is rather emo of me, there are truly some people I enjoy hanging out with in this guild, and it's been a good time raiding with you all. (pic of new armor next... yay!)

Enough of that shit though.

For some reason we keep getting apps, and when we were all bad and shit not killing the Lich King we couldn't keep people. Go figure. Now people are sitting again, and are all sad =(

E3 is done, the videogame companies have decided how I will spend my money for the next year or so. And to begin with, we have !!!!

This thing. Microsoft Kinect. Hands free, controller free, fun free gaming. What the hell are we going to do without buttons? Really? No buttons? At all? What happens if I need to like... pull a trigger? Nothing, that's what happens.

What I can be gauranteed to have tho is

Kinectimals. I may make fun of it now, but the sad truth... I already have both the Kinect and Kinectimals pre ordered. My 'kids' will love it.

The iPad is great. And not just a little great. It's a lot great. I use it far more than I expected too. I use it for all my internet, and while I was very concerned about the lack of Flash, I've actually changed (some) of the sites I frequent that will host thier video in Quicktime (ie... Gamespot vs. IGN). It's just amazing. Plus

iPad porn.

That's all I have to say about that. Buy one.

So once I finished liquifying a box of kleenex I moved on... Go buy Mass Effect 2 the reasons above, and many more.

So many things to consider, in writing these, I'm not sure where to begin.

Let's look at the recent development, the amazing "revolutionary" breakthrough in computing. I present the IPad.

Wow, who cares? It's not a phone, so it doesn't do like phone thngs. It's not a mac, so it doesn't run like, native mac programs. It's a giant iPod touch. Whoopidy Doo. So you mean I can browse the app store and play the amazingly shitty game-boy app store games on a 10" screen? OMG. So, it's like a bastardized child from the macbook, and IPod. I'm really looking forward to being able to click the weather app, and get my local weather forcast in GIANT as opposed to in my hand on my already existing iPhone AND iPod Touch.

It's unlikely they'll make enough games to make the iPad worth it for gamers, and the "new exclusive" apps will be geared for the netbook reader people. Why? Whyyyyyy? Let it play WoW over 3G+ networks. Make it a mobile fucking computer.

It's a damn Giant iPod.

There's a lot... and I mean a lot, that has happened since my last entry. Too be honest, I wasn't sure I'd ever do another.

So much, in fact, that I'm having a truely difficult time focusing on what exactly to write.

Obviously one thing stands out, above the rest.

This movie is silly good. I know, it's basically a rip off of the Native American's plight against the Shithead White Man. But still, who cares. It's a damn good movie, it's a little bit longer than I would have liked. It seemed, at some points, like James Cameron was more interested in showing the planet off, rather than telling a story... 5 minute flight training sequences could have easily been trimmed down to more managable bits, to save my bladder from exploding the the movie theater.

But, perhaps the most techinical and brilliant bit of this movie, is the unbelievable way they turned this...

into this...

And somehow made you want to bang her more...

Go see Avatar.

Today is Mass Effect 2 day... which is exciting. Because I can't wait for a sequel to this.

I don't know about you, but there's no way I'm not making Shepard a chick in Mass Effect 2... just so I can see the moment between Virtual Hot Chick Shepard and this lady...

A little bit of the ole' funny funny for your Severance folks today.

On October the 5th. I posted a little column on here. About how I had just went out that morning and bought me a Blackberry. Oh how happy I was. My phone provider (Telus) didn't have many options for smartphones that didn't suck. And while I never really wanted a Blackberry, the eventual draw of lack of competion... pulled me in.

So I sign a 3 year contract to get the Blackberry Roam (omfg the new) cheap cheap. Yay... I'm happy right?

No.

Injustice occured.

Yes, after years of saying "I'll never have one, people can phone me." In WoW news... 3.3 is n the patch server, well at least part of it is... This is good news. 3.2 wasn't enough to keep raiders happy. Either you had heroic content which was brutal, or regular content which was far too easy. They really need to just have one raid, and tune it in the middle there. Or have an "easy mode" and a "regular mode." Enough of heroic content. Please.

But the benifit of 3.3... is that we will have a new scary boss to play with!

Seriously, shoving an icecicle up Arthas' ass will be glorious. That smoker's cough having, plate armor wearing, maniac has been making cameos in my WoW for far too long. It is kind of a pleasent surprise when you stumble across him in a new way though.. (I just finished the Zul'Drak quests here he smokes Drakkuru for the first time last night... didn't know Arthas would show up and give us a preview...)
